Alice Schlepp, 79, of St. Francis, Kan., died April 13, 2002 at her home. 
Funeral services were April 17 at the United Methodist Church in St. Francis. 
Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery.  

Mathilda L. PENNER 
Mathilda L. Penner, 91, of Henderson, died May 8, 2002 at Henderson. 
Funeral services were May 11 at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. 
Burial was in the Bethesda Mennonite church Cemetery.  

Evelyn PALMBERG 
Evelyn Palmberg, 93, of Aurora, died May 13, 2002. Funeral services 
May 16 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. 
Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.  

Bob KETCHUM 
Bob Ketchum, 55, of Aurora, died May 13, 2002 at his home after a 
long battle with cancer. Memorial services May 16 at the chapel of 
Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. 

Albert J. GOERTZEN 
Albert J. Goertzen, 92, of Henderson, died May 9, 2002. Funeral services
May 13 at Bethesda Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Bethesda Cemetery.  

Alfred A. BERGEN 
Alfred A. Bergen, 75, of Henderson, died May 6, 2002 in York. 
Funeral services were May 9 at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Henderson. 
Burial was in the Bethesda Mennonite Cemetery in Henderson.  

Louis GOERTZ 
A memorial service for Louis Goertz was May 5, 2002 at Shalom Mennonite 
Church in Newton, Kan. 

Ruth RONIN 
Ruth Ronin, 94, died Monday, May 20, 2002 in Redlands, Calif. 
Memorial services June 22 at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. 
Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. 

LaVerne CHRISTENSEN 
LaVerne Christensen, 87, of Central City, died June 9, 2002 at her 
daughter’s home in Denver, Colo. Services were June 14 at Fairview 
United Methodist Church near Central City. Burial was in the Burke 
Cemetery near Central City.

Beverly WENTWORTH 
Beverly Crabtree Wentworth, 48, of Aurora, died June 22, 2002 at 
her parents’ home in Aurora. A celebration of life July 1 at the 
Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island. 

LeRoy NYDEGGER  
LeRoy Nydegger, 90, of Aurora, died June 18, 2002. Funeral 
services were June 21 at Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. 
Burial was in the Aurora Cemetery. 

Ruth LEWIS  
Ruth Elene (Davies) Lewis, 86, of Pasadena, Calif., died 
April 26, 2002 at Pasadena. Memorial services were May 4 in 
Freeman Chapel at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church.
