in Schuyler. 

FAIRMONT -- Phyllis J. MORGAN, 84, of Fairmont, formerly of Fullerton, 
died April 10, 2002 in Fairmont.

COLUMBUS -- Heidi GANSKOW, 32, of Columbus died May 9, 2002, at her home. 
Services were May 11, 2002, at Christ Lutheran Church in rural Columbus. 
Burial was at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in rural Columbus. Born in Columbus to 
James and Diana (Blaser) Mueller. She married Mike Ganskow on Sept. 21, 1991 
at Christ Lutheran Church in rural Columbus. Preceded in death by her father; two 
brothers, Joel Mueller and Justin Mueller; one sister, Amy Mueller; her grandfathers, 
Allan Blaser and Lawrence Mueller and her uncle, Jerome Mueller. 

Myrtle BIVENS
SILVER CREEK -- Myrtle A. Bivens, 85, of Silver Creek died May 20, 2002, at 
Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City. Services are pending with 
McKown Funeral Home. 

Clara SELLHORST
NEWMAN GROVE -- Clara Sellhorst, 90, of Newman Grove died 
May 16, 2002 in Albion. Services were at Holy Family Catholic Church in 
Lindsay. Burial was at the Holy Family Cemetery in Lindsay. Born Mar 21, 1912, 
at Pierce. She attended school at Pierce. Married Conrad Sellhorst on 
Aug. 28, 1934, at Pierce. Preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, 
Ruth Shupe; one grandchild; four brothers, John Hoffmann, Bill Hoffmann, 
Edward Hoffmann and Leo Hoffmann; two sisters, Marie Herbolshiemer and 
Rose Mary Radher; and one son-in-law, Robert Feiwell.  

Victor TOBEN
DONIPHAN -- Victor A. Toben, 71, of Doniphan died May 18, 2002 in Kearney. 
Services at Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Burial at the Cedarview 
Cemetery in Doniphan. Born Feb. 2, 1931, at Hastings to Henry C. and Martha 
C. (Porth) Toben. Married Rogene Schimmer on Feb. 14, 1956, in Grand Island. 
Preceded in death by one brother, Donald Toben; and one sister, Arvilla Treat. 

August HAKE
COLUMBUS -- August Theodore Hake, 75, of Columbus died May 18, 2002
at Lincoln. Services at St. John's Lutheran Shell Creek in rural Columbus. 
Burial at Calvary Cemetery with military honors. Born June 9, 1926, at rural 
Richland to August and Anna Margaret (Koch) Hake. Married Elaine Viola Klug 
on Sept. 17, 1950, at rural Columbus. Preceded in death by his parents; one 
brother, Werner Hake; and four sisters, Olga Schutte, Alvina Aerni, Mildred 
Abraham and Lorene Hake, who died in infancy. 

Anthony HILGER
COLUMBUS -- Anthony G. "Bud" Hilger, 82, died May 17, 2002. Services at 
St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Burial will be at St. Bonaventure 
Cemetery with Military Honors by Hartman Post No. 84 American Legion Honor 
Guard. Born July 3, 1919, in Cedar Rapids to Joseph and Mertle (Murphy) Hilger. 
Married Zathea I. Jackson on April 23, 1940, at Little Rock, Ark. Preceded in 
death by his parents; one son, Jerry Hilger; four brothers and two sisters.

BRAINARD -- Oscar L. DVORAK, 79, of Brainard died June 19, 2002 in David City. 
Services at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel at David City. Burial will be at the 
Bohemian National Cemetery at Brainard. Born June 13, 1923, near Brainard to 
Frank A. and Josephine (Slama) Dvorak. Married Orletha Hlavac on Nov. 15, 1951
in David City. Preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ray Dvorak, Joseph 
Dvorak and Frankie Dvorak; and two sisters, Hilda Rezek and Libby Dvorak.

ALBION -- Ottilia "Tilly" Matildia IWAN, 82, of Albion died June 19, 2002 in Omaha.
Services at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. Burial is at St. Michael's Cemetery. 
Born June 16, 1920, on a Holt County farm north of Stuart to George and Mary (Babl) 
Weber. She married Alois John Iwan on Feb. 15, 1939, in Stuart. Her husband died in 
Aug. 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers; 
and seven sisters. 

BELLEVUE -- Philomene A. "Phil" (Weiser) MCKENZIE, 75, of Bellevue died June 18, 2002. 
Services were at Assumption Church. Burial was at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery. 
Preceded in death by one son, Leonard McKenzie. Brewer Korisko Chapel, Omaha, NE
was in charge of arrangements. 

ABIE -- Lillian KOPECKY, 94, of Abie died June 22, 2002 in Schuyler. 
Services at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Abie. Burial will be 
at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery at Abie. Born May 4, 1908, in 
Saunders County to Louis and Anna (Cink) Vrana. She married John 
Kopecky on Dec. 26, 1934, at Linwood. Survivors include one sister, 
Lucille Hein of David City. Preceded in death by her husband on 
Dec. 25, 1984; her sister, Adeline Prochaska and her twin 
sister, Tillie Ustohal.

COLUMBUS -- Gerarda "Sally" LOUDEN, 88, of Columbus died June 23, 2002. 
Services are pending at Gass Haney Funeral Home in Columbus. 

OMAHA -- Lillian Hanna MILLER, 92, of Omaha died June 19, 2002
in Papillion. Services at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Bellevue. 
Graveside services at the Stromsburg Cemetery. Born June 19, 1911
at Osceola to Frank O. and Emma C. (Pehrson) Sjogren. Married Harris 
Sundberg in April 1935. Mr. Sundberg died in April 1956. She married 
Homer Miller in Mar. 1967. Mr. Miller died on Nov. 14, 1990. Preceded in 
death by her parents; husbands; and two sisters, Elvera W. Anderson 
and Esther Burke. Palmer Funeral Home of Stromsburg 
is in charge of arrangements. 

ALBION -- Rella Rae PILKINGTON, 62, of Albion died June 22, 2002. 
Services at the United Methodist Church in Albion. Burial at Rose Hill 
Cemetery in Albion. Levander Funeral Home in Albion. Born Feb. 27, 1940
northeast of Hedrick, Iowa, to Rudolph R. and Dorothy Davis Arendt. 
Married Ralph Pilkington on June 30, 1962, in Hedrick. 

PLATTE CENTER -- Louise A. FOLTZ, 91, of Platte Center, died June 26, 2002. 
Services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center. Burial at Ss. Patrick 
and Joseph Cemetery in Platte Center. Born Aug. 28, 1910, in Hanover, Kan., 
to Joseph and Anna (Ruhkamp) Goeckel. Married Henry Foltz on Feb. 10, 1931
in Hanover, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son-in-law, 
Gerald Sliva and one granddaughter. 

ALBION -- Martin D. OSTERLOH, 96, of Albion, died June 27, 2002 in Newman
Grove. Services at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. Burial at Hope Cemetery 
in Newman Grove. Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
