Imperial Republican Aug 2006 Mary Alyce SULLIVAN was born on Oct. 2, 1925 in Omaha, Neb. She was the third of five children born to William and Margaret Larkin Fenton. Mary Alyce was married to Bill Sullivan on Nov. 12, 1955 in Omaha. She died Friday morning, July 21, 2006. Preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, William, Jerry, John and Phillip Fenton. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on July 25, 2006, at St. Mary's Church. Burial was in the Wallace Cemetery. Colleen June (Fromm) GREENE, a lifelong resident of Imperial, Neb. died July 26, 2006 at the age of 77 following a lengthy illness. Born Sept. 15, 1928 in Hastings, Neb. and was adopted as an infant by Earnest W. and Maude L. Fromm of Imperial. On Sept. 8, 1948, Colleen was united in marriage to Glenard D. Greene, and to this union three children were born: Jamie D., Timmie D. and Dirk G. Preceding her in death are her parents, Earnest and Maude Fromm; infant daughter, Jamie Dawn Greene; father and mother in-law, Joseph and Vera Greene; brother-in-law, George King and sister-in-law, Gloria Greene. A graveside service for the family was held at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial, July 31, 2006. Ronald Emil GLOY, age 56 of Ogallala, passed away July 27, 2006, at his home. Born Oct. 16, 1949, in Grant, the son of Reinhold and Edith (Pankonin) Gloy. He was the youngest of four children. He married Pamela Nordhausen on Dec. 8, 1973, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Wauneta. He was preceded in death by one sister, Julanna Gloy. Memorial services for Ron were held at 10 a.m. on July 31, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church, north of Grant. Cremation was chosen and inurnment was in the Ogallala Cemetery. Chief Master Sgt. Clyde ANDERSON Jr., "Andy", age 77, of Niceville, Fla., passed away July 16, 2006, in Orlando, Fla. Born on Aug. 11, 1928, in Imperial, Neb., and was a resident of the local area for over 30 years. Honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 30 years, retiring as a chief master sergeant. He was currently commander of the American Legion. Services were held at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home at 7 p.m. at the funeral home and was officiated by the American Legion. At the conclusion of the services military honors were presented. McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, Niceville, was entrusted with arrangements. Irvin JOHNSON, age 89, passed away Aug. 14, 2006. Survivors include daughter, Donna Gibb of Imperial; son, Barry and wife, Sheila of North Platte; daughter, Cynthia Hudgins and husband, Jack, of Texarkana, AK; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Iona Peterson of Imperial and Eileen Phinney, Lincoln. Graveside services: Aug. 17, 2006, at 2 p.m. (MT) at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial. Liewer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Della L. Walgren POE was born Feb. 18, 1911 in Monica, Ill. to Leo and Della Ayers Walgren. October 24, 1929, she married Glen Poe of the Amity Community. To this union, two sons were born, Donald and Dean. She passed away early Sunday morning, Aug. 13, 2006 in her sleep. Preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents and two brothers, Harold and Warren. Funeral services: Aug. 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church of Holyoke, Colo. Interment will follow at Holyoke Memorial Park. Liewer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Iris Fern (Pribbeno) FULLER, 87, of Prescott, Ariz., died Aug. 16, 2006. She was born Jan. 20, 1919, to Edward and Fern Pribbeno in Imperial, Neb. Her husband, Robert J. Fuller, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Karen K. (T. Wayne) Whipple of Phoenix, Ariz.; granddaughter, Dawn L. (David) Waldman of Chandler, Ariz.; grandson, Thomas W. (Christina) Whipple, Jr. of Bloomfield, N.J.; great grandsons, Brian and Andrew Waldman of Chandler, Ariz.; and a brother, Carl (Maybelle) Pribbeno of Chandler, Ariz. Nieces and nephews in Nebraska are Kent (Donita) Pribbeno, Jackie Claus, Joan (Boyd) Mathews, Don (Amy) Monasmith, all of Imperial; John Monasmith of Wauneta and Fern (Dean) McCoy of Arapahoe. Those in Colorado are Sherry (Ray) Berlin, Scharlie (Gaylord) Faubion and Dennis Pribbeno. Those in Arizona are Gloria (Richard) Williams and Ed (Shirley) Collins. Inurnment is planned at the Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott. Harold GENGENBACH was born on Mar 1, 1915 southeast of Grant, Neb. He was the oldest of nine children born to Christian and Anna Schurr Gengenbach. He was baptized as an infant in Eustis, Neb., on Oct. 18, 1915 at the church parsonage. Hemarried Lottie Lange on Oct. 3, 1964 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Imperial. Lottie died in 2004 and Harold died early Mon. morning, Aug. 21, 2006. He had reached the age of 91. Services were held Aug. 24, 2006 at Grant Zion Lutheran Church. Interment was in the Grant Cemetery. Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Gary L. TODD was born Dec. 1, 1940 in Imperial, Neb. to George and Iona Todd and passed away Aug. 22, 2006, at Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Neb. at the age of 65 years. He married Anna Tex on July 10, 1965, in Papillion, Neb. and to this union three sons were born: Gary, Steven and Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe. Mass of Christian burial was held Aug. 26, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the St. Gerald's Catholic Church in Omaha. Kahler-Dolce Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Junior Eugene FEREBEE, the son of Sam and Maybelle (Reynolds) Ferebee, was born on Dec. 20, 1919, in Central City, Neb. He passed away on Aug. 27, 2006 in Deshler, Neb. at the age of 86 years, eight months and seven days. He served in the US Navy during World War II, aboard the USS President Adams. He was united in marriage to Dixie Lee Jahnke, on Dec. 23, 1953. This union was blessed with a daughter, Leslie Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie, on Dec. 24, 2005; brother, Dale and sisters, Catherine and Camille. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Hebron, Neb., Aug. 31, 2006), at 11 a.m. Burial was at the Deshler City Cemetery, Deshler.
