Wahoo News Feb. 14, 2006 LINCOLN - Carol Roberta Samek, 71, of Lincoln, formerly of Wahoo and Mt. Lebanon, Penn., died Sunday, Feb. 12. Samek was born June 21, 1934 to Charles and Lila M. Stone in High Bridge, N.J. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Luther Stone, Charlotta and Richard Dick, Mary Ellen Stone and Ronald Jay Stone. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. WAHOO - Abner H. Dauel, 94, of Wahoo, died Friday, Feb. 10 in Wahoo. Dauel was born Nov. 5, 1911 to Levi and Mary (Reimers) Dauel in Malmo. On May 5, 1942 he married Gladys Milton in Malmo. They were married 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, William, Clarence and Edward Dauel. Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at the Edensburg Lutheran Church in Malmo. Interment was at Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo. TOUHY - Helen A. Bartek, 85, formerly of Touhy, died Feb. 7 in Lincoln. Bartek was born on Sept. 10, 1920 to Joseph and Aloisa (Divis) Benes in rural Touhy. On March 30, 1948 she was united in marriage to Adolph A. Bartek at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Agnew. Her husband passed away in 2002. She was a member of St. Vitus Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Workman Branch 187. Her parents, her husband, her son, Gregory C. Bartek, grandson, Joshua, great-grandson Eathan, and sister Agnes Masek preceded her in death. Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 11 at St. Vitus Catholic Church in Touhy. Burial was at St. Vitus Cemetery at Touhy. DAVID CITY - Ernest J. Andel, 80, of David City, died Feb. 13, 2006. Andel was born Oct. 17, 1925 to Joseph and Anna (Sedlacek) Andel near Appleton. He graduated from Octavia High School in 1943. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On Aug. 24, 1955, he married Arlene Kohout at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City.
