West Point News Jan. 4, 2006 Funeral services for Kim (Mrs. John) Donahey, 49, of Wisner, will be Thursday Jan. 5, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner. Father Timothy Podraza will celebrate the Mass with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. at the church. Kim died on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at her residence. Thomas Levi Bales, 81, West Point, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery, West Point, with military honors. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers, for Dayton William Daberkow, age 70, who died on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, in Jackson, Miss. Rev. Sam McPeek officiated. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, La., was in charge of funeral arrangements. January 11, 2006 Funeral services for Herman George (Ham) Prawitz, 85, of Conroe, Texas, were Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment was in Conroe Memorial Park. He died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, in Conroe, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Helen Prawitz; sons, Gary and Aimee, Richard and Elizabeth, John and Cathy; sister, Della Bowman; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Anita Beune, 86 of West Point, were Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at Zion-St. John Lutheran Church, rural Wisner. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Anita died on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2006. Survivors include her children Nadine and Myron Drevlow of Holdingford, Minn., Boyd and Jeanette Beune of Wisner, Myrene and Jerry Johnson of Guymon, Okla.; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; sister, Beata Brockmann of West Point; sisters-in-law, Naoma Toelle of Beemer and Mildred Toelle of West Point. A memorial service for Rosemary Drieling (Mervin), 75, are Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at 11a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. Theresa Martens, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at her son and daughter-in-law’s home in West Point. Survivors include her sons, Tim and Donna Martens, Greg Martens all of West Point; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Billy VonSeggern, 78, of Pender, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006 in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Pender. Survivors include his wife, Maryalice of Pender, three sons and their wives, Clifford and Wilda VonSeggern of Jacksonville, Fla., Clayton and Kathy VonSeggern of Lincoln, Curtis and Cathy VonSeggern of Pender; a daughter, Cindy and Gaylen Hingst of Emerson; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a brother, Ted and Carolyn VonSeggern of Pender. Burial will be in Omaha. Survivors include his wife, Carole of West Point; sons, John and Carol of Omaha, Bob and Jim, both of West Point; and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Edward B. Stutzman, 79, Beemer, were Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at the Beemer Mennonite Church in Beemer. Pastor Lewis Miller officiated with burial in the Beemer Cemetery. Edward passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006. Memorial services for Alice (Mrs. Glenn) Meyer, 76, of Wisner were Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. Burial was in the Wisner Cemetery. Alice passed away Jan. 18, 2006, at her residence. Mildred M. Brdicko, 87, Fremont, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006. A funeral services is Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at First Lutheran Church. Committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter Diane (Dee) and Gary E. Hansen of Lincoln, formerly of West Point; son Dennis and Joan Mareie Brdicko of Sun City, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great granchildren. Ervin F. Smith, 84, of Oakland, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006.
