BAYER-Helen G., age 89yrs. Miss Bayer was a 30 year employee of the I.R.S. 
A longtime member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish. Preceded by her parents, 
Peter and Frances Bayer. Survived by many cousins and friends.
FUNERAL SERVICES Friday 9:30am from the West Center Chapel to Blessed 
Sacrament Church for 10am Mass. VISITATION Thursday 5-7pm with a Wake 
Service at 7pm all at the West Center Chapel. 
Interment St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery.

Teya Faith COOK, 16, of Central City formerly of Grand Island, died on 
June 07, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident near Central City.  
Funeral services are Saturday, June 10th, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the 
Community Bible Church in Central City.  Burial will be in the Grand 
Island Cemetery.  Born on June 19, 1989, in Grand Island to Joel 
Allen and Julie Ann (Nilius) Cook.  Teya was preceded in death by 
her grandmother – Bonnie Nilius, and her great grandfathers – 
Carl Kasten and Gordon Cook. Solt Funeral Home in charge.

Claude “Vincent” STROUP, 88, of Grand Island, died June 2, 2006
at Lakeview. Services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. 
at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. 
The United Veterans Color Guard will provide military rites. 
Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. 
Born January 6, 1918, at Norton, Kansas. 
He is the son of Henry F. & Ruby Mae (Brock) Stroup. 
He married Margaret M. Donovan on February 20, 1941 in the 
Catholic Church at New Alma, Kansas. He entered the Air Corp 
in 1942 serving in the Pacific Campaign. His daughter Pam Johansen 
preceded him in death. Curran Funeral Chapel in charge.
