Born to Albert and Ione Bremer on Nov. 12, 1924. Funeral services will be held June 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Imperial. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial. Liewer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mark "Buff" BUFFINGTON of McCook, died June 3, 2006, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was 52 years old. He was born Oct. 22, 1953 in McCook to Harold Lee and Laura M. (Meury) Buffington. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel in McCook. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth E. SONNENFELT, 75, of Mullen died June 6, 2006 in North Platte. She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Sleeper, Mo. to Amos and Anna (Messman) Arends. On Oct. 26, 1948, Ruth married William J. Sonnenfelt in Mullen. Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister-in-law. Graveside services were held June 10 at 11 a.m. MDT at Cedarview Cemetery, Mullen, Neb. Russell "Rusty" SEXSON was born on Oct. 9, 1944 at Holyoke, Colo. He was the oldest of four children born to Robert and Dolores Watkins Sexson. Married to Marilyn Reeson on May 28, 1976 at Kearney. Preceded in death by his father and his sister, Shelley Jane. Funeral services were held on June 10, 2006, at the Grant United Methodist Church with Pastors Jeff Babb and Steve Hoffman officiating. His body was cremated after the service and cremains were buried in the Grant Cemetery. Vera Dolly KEPLER, 87, of Broadwater, passed away June 12, 2006. Born on May 28, 1919, north of Lisco in Morrill County, the daughter of Elder Harrod and Armeda Druesilla (Griffitts) Wright. Married Wavel "Dee" Kepler March 16, 1937 at Bridgeport. Twelve children were born to this union, nine of which still survive. Preceded in death by her husband, Dee in 1976; her parents; sons, Johnnie in infancy in 1939, Daniel Howard in 2001, and Dwight Elder in 2002; two granddaughters, a grandson; and a brother, Eddie Wright. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., June 16, 2006, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Broadwater. Mae Emily HULSE was born April 25, 1919, the daughter of John Albert and Ida Elizabeth (Johnson) Miller, at the family home near Ft. Morgan, Colo. Mae met and married Riley Edgar Hulse on Aug. 13, 1943, at Grant, Neb., by her uncle Fred Fuhr, who was the Justice of the Peace at the time. Mae passed away June 14, 2006. She was 87 years of age. Preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Albert Jr. Miller; and one sister, Esther Pelz. Funeral services were held June 20, 2006, at 10 a.m. (MT) at the United Methodist Church in Imperial. Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial was in charge of arrangements. Alberta WILHELMSON was born Sept. 13, 1919, at North Platte, Neb. to Albert and Mabel (Spencer) Preitauer. Married Eugene "Ben" Speck at Stockville, Neb. The couple moved to the family farm near Farnam, Neb., where they made their home until Ben's death in 1975. Alberta married Eldred Wilhelmson and moved to North Platte, Neb. Eldred passed away in 2001. She died June 14, 2006 in Imperial, Neb. She was 86 years of age. Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ben and Eldred; one daughter, Dollie; two grandsons, Rick and Chad; daughter-in-law, Eunice; three brothers, Gale, Stan and John; and step brother, Vernon. Funeral services were held June 19, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Farnam. Ruth M. (Pawley) MEACHAM, 44, of Laramie, died June 15, 2006 in Laramie, Wyo. Born Dec. 14, 1961 in Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Jack L. and Dollie C. (Vauthrin) Pawley. Married Jeff Meacham on Jan. 2, 1984 in Imperial, Neb. Funeral services were held June 20, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial followed in Green Hill Cemetery. Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home of Laramie, Wyo. was in charge of arrangements. Leo WEISS, 78, of Colorado Springs, Colo., passed away suddenly Monday morning of a heart attack. Services are pending in Colorado Springs. He was born and raised in Imperial and is a brother of Mary Ann Stinnette of Imperial. Charles M. OLSON departed this life on June 26, 2006, following an illness. Born on Jan 31, 1920 in Sutherland, Neb., the son of the late Henry and Anna Olson. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of WWII. Married Clara G. "Peggy" Eppard on December 29, 1948 in Neosho, Mo. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, John and Emil Olson. Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel. Nina BERRY of Imperial, Neb., died June 25, 2006. She was 77 years old. Nina Clare (Artist) Berry was born Oct. 21, 1928 to Earl Franklin Artist and Sarah Edna Collicott. She was the youngest of three children. Nina and Wayne Ronald Berry were married on August 8, 1947. To this union four children were born, Bonnie, Ronald, Marlon and Starla. Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Ronald Berry, her parents, two brothers, Kenneth and Keith and a granddaughter, Karen Williams. Services will be held June 29, 2006 at 10:30 at the First United Methodist Church in Imperial. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial. Julia LANTIS died June 26, 2006, in Hastings, Neb.
