Helen H. BEDNAR, 102, Wymore, widow of Joseph, died (6/20/06) 
in Summerfield, Kan. Born, Iowa. Survivors: son, Joseph Jr., Wymore; 
daughter, Mary Ann Bednar Hays, Blue Springs; eight grandchildren; 
19 great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Friday, Wymore

Hildegarde F. BOYE, 80, Seward, widow of the Rev. Clarence, died 
(6/20/06) in Omaha. Born, May 12, 1926, Chelsea, Okla. Married 
the Rev. Clarence Boye on Oct. 1, 1944, in Chelsea. Retired LPN. 
Preceded in death by: husband, the Rev. Clarence; son, Tommy; 
parents, William and Laura (Doennig) Radke; brother, Herbert Radke; 
sister, Esther Erdwin. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, St. John Lutheran 
Church, Seward. Burial: 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Johnson County

Bernice E. DIETRICH, 91, Lincoln, widow of Henry "Deets" Dietrich, 
died (6/20/06) in Lincoln. Born March 14, 1915, to Charles H. and 
Martha Hansen Good in Grand Island. She married Henry Dietrich 
Jan. 22, 1933, in Grand Island. Preceded in death by: husband; 
parents; sister, Pauline Cochell; brother, Reginald T. Good. 
Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Trinity United Methodist 
Church, Grand Island. Internment of ashes in Grand Island City 
Cemetery at later date. 

Merl Dean GILMORE, 87, Papillion, formerly Omaha, went home to be with 
her husband, Frank, at 1:32 a.m. on Wednesday (6/21/06) after a courageous 
battle with cancer. Devoted wife; beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, 
great-grandmother and friend. Retired at age 78 from J.C. Penny Co. after 
30 years of service as a seamstress; she enjoyed crocheting doilies for family 
and friends. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank H. Gilmore; 
parents, William and Willie Mae Poston, and Fred and Emma Koenig. 

Leland HAACK, 75, Pawnee City, died June 14, 2006. 
Survivors: stepson, Christopher M. Johnson, Colorado; other relatives and friends.

Harold W. HAWKINS, 82, Omaha, formerly Lincoln, passed away (6/18/06).

today, Lincoln Memorial Park. Military honors by VFW Post 8334 and Millard 
American Legion Post 374. 

Richard Arthur HOLMES, 70, Brownville, died Tuesday (6/20/06). 
Survivors: stepmother, Charlotte Holmes, Nebraska City; stepbrother, 
Gary Holmes, Lincoln; stepsister, Betty Frede, Sidney, Iowa; cousins.
