Loretta Martha GOODWIN, 87, Ontario, Ore., formerly of Twin Falls, Idaho, 
died Friday, April 21, 2006, in Ontario. A memorial service was May 5, 2006, 
at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Twin Falls, Idaho.

Aldred John KROENKE, 87, of Dodge, died May 27, 2006 in Omaha.
Mass of Christian burial was Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at St. Wenceslaus 
Catholic Church in Dodge. Burial was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Stokely Funeral Home of Dodge was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa NEIMAN, age 85 of Wisner, were 
May 30, 2006, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wisner. Burial in 
St. Matthew’s Lutheran Cemetery located south of Wisner. 
Theresa died Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Beemer.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Walter Byron KINDSCHUH, 94, of West Point, died May 29, 2006 in Beemer.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Grace 
Lutheran Church in West Point. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery 
with military honors graveside. Stokely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lanny L. ANDERSON, age 63, of Fremont, died in his home early Monday morning
June 5, 2006. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2006, in 
the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fremont. The committal will be in Memorial 
Cemetery with military honors by the Fremont Honor Guard of American Legion 
Post 20 and VFW Post 854. 

Chester W. JOHNSON, 84, died May 31, 2006 in West Point. 
Funeral services were June 5, 2006, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lyons. 
Burial was in the Lyons Cemetery.Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Lyons; 
daughter, Sheila and Tom Parks of Neligh; son, Rick and Linda Johnson of Oakland; 
four grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Marion Nelson of Oakland; 
sister-in-law, Norma Johnson of Florida.

Helen AHRENS, 84, died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at the home of her daughter 
in McCook. Funeral services were June 7, 2006 at the St. John’s Lutheran 
Church in rural Lyons. Burial in the church cemetery.
Pelan Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Louis Gene STECHER, 68, of West Point died June 6, 2006.
Mass of Christian burial was June 8, 2006, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 
Survivors include his wife, Theresa, of West Point; daughters, Marla and 
Michael Essensohn of Omaha, and Brenda and JimYarger of West Point; 
a sister, Joan and Bill Drake of Beemer; and four grandchildren. 
Stokely Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Dean PALLAS, age 43, of Frisco, Texas, died on June 2, 2006. 
A memorial service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel on 
June 9, 2006 at 2 p.m. in Frisco, Texas. A memorial service will also be 
held on June 12, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Pender. 
Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery.

Henrietta RIDDER, 83, West Point, died Friday, June 9, 2006. 
A funeral Mass was held June 12, 2006, at St. Boniface Catholic 
Church at Monterey. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Funeral services for Janice ALBERS, 76, of Wisner, were June 14, 2006
at Christ Lutheran Church in Wisner. Burial in the Wisner Cemetery. 
Janice died on Sunday, June 11, 2006 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Lou GOING, 80, of West Point died June 10, 2006. 
Services were June 13, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church. 
Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery. 
Survivors include her son, Dale and Connie Going; 
daughter-in-law, Gloria Going, all of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 
two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral services for Gertrude F. ZEPLIN, 99, of Norfolk were held 
June 10, 2006 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Norfolk. 
Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, West Point. 
She died June 8, 2006 at Norfolk.
She is survived by a foster son, Raymond Schoen and his 
wife, Jan; 3 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Donald BATENHORST, 69, West Point, died June 7, 2006. 
Funeral services were June 10, 2006, at Holy Cross 
Catholic Church in Beemer. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 
Beemer, with military honors. Survivors include his brothers, 
Alfred, Jr., and Georgia of Beemer, Duane and Mary of La 
Crescenta, Calif.; a sister, Mary and Norbert Harms of Howells 
and 34 nieces and nephews.

Al PIMPER, 82, Kearney, died June 14, 2006, in Gibbon. 
Funeral services were Monday, June 19, 2006, at First Presbyterian 
Church at Kearney. Burial was at the Kearney Cemetery with military 
honors by the Nebraska National Guard Honors Team.

Funeral services for Paul F. GEISLER, 95, Norfolk, were June 21, 2006
at Christ Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Interment was at the Lyons Cemetery, 
Lyons. Paul died June 17, 2006. Howser-Filler Mortuary was in charge 
of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Edna of Norfolk; daughter, 
Elaine and Jerry Holmberg of Norfolk; a son, Robert and Elizabeth (Ahrens) 
Geisler of McCook; 5 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Roland MOELLER, 81, Hooper, died June 17, 2006. Funeral services were 
June 21, 2006, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Scribner. Burial was at 
Scribner Cemetery. Survivors include two brothers, Delbert and LaVonne 
Moeller and Urban (Mike) Moeller, both of Scribner; sister, Marcella Tienken 
of Hooper; sister-in-law, Vivian Moeller of Scribner, special friend, Opal 
Wooldrik of Scribner and several nieces and nephews.

Darlene M. UHER, 68, Dodge, died June 18, 2006 in Fremont. 
Mass of Christian burial was June 21, 2006, at St. Wenceslaus 
Catholic Church in Dodge. Stokely Funeral Home was in charge 
of arrangements.

Richard P. WICKERT, 90, of West Point, died June 10, 2006. 
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. June 22, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church. 
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date. 
Stokely Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hazel I. EGERMAN, 98, of Bancroft, died on June 18, 2006. 
Funeral services were June 22, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church 
in Bancroft. Interment was in the Holy Cross Catholic Church 
Cemetery in Bancroft. Survivors include her husband, Lyle; two 
nieces; a nephew and a grandniece. Munderloh Funeral Home 
was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for William “Bill” MCGUIRE, 82, of Wisner, were 
June 28, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner. Father 
Timothy Podraza celebrated the Mass with burial in St. Joseph’s 
Catholic Cemetery. Bill died Saturday, June 24, 2006.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner was in charge 
of arrangements.

Margaret E. HOLST, 85, Fremont, died June 22, 2006 in Fremont. 
Graveside services were June 26, 2006, at Calvary Cemetery in 
Fremont. Father Roland Peschel of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church,
Fremont, officiated. Survivors include a son, Les and Deanna Holst 
of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Bob and Carol Wackel of Fremont.

Ray POMERLEAU, Jr., 25, Wisner, died on June 22, 2006, near West 
Point as a result of an automobile accident. Private services will be 
held at a later date. Ray enjoyed hiking so his ashes will be scattered 
along one of his favorite hiking trails in the state of Maine.

Julia C. FREEL, 97, of Lyons, formerly of Bancroft died on June 21, 2006. 
Private family services were held June 26, 2006 at the Bancroft Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin Freel of Monterey, Calif., and Russell 
Freel of Ralston; 3 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.
