GREENWOOD - Pauline Elizabeth (Mettler) WILES, 86, passed away 
in Lincoln on Thursday, Oct. 26. Born on June 28, 1920, to Newton 
and Esther (Anderson) Mettler in Narka, Kan. She married Jack Wiles 
on July 26, 1937 in Omaha. He passed away on Jan. 24, 1976. 
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack and son, Richard; three 
brothers, Wayne Mettler, Earl Knower, and Elmer Knower, and 
one sister, Irene Petersen. Funeral services were held Monday 
at Marcy Chapel in Ashland. Burial followed at Greenwood 
Memorial Cemetery 

Memorial services for Rev. Fred LODER of Lincoln will be held 
Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, in Lincoln. 
Rev. Loder, 80, died Oct. 28 in Lincoln. Born in Lincoln to John and 
Emma (Van Wie) Loder, he was a retired United Methodist minister. 
He was preceded in death by parents and wife, Cecelia.
      
Funeral services for Kathryn "Kay" A. (Buckles) SHIPMAN of Waverly 
will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 at Peace Lutheran Church in Waverly. 
She died Sunday, Oct. 22 after a three year battle with cancer. 
Born January 29, 1943 to Howard and Hazel (Tavner) Buckles of 
Cowles. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1961. Preceded 
in death by her parents, brothers-in-law, Lloyd Hoffman and Jerry 
Shipman, and sister-in-law, Beverly Wheeler.
