Born April 13, 1912, in the Bissell Community, Colfax County, to Robert and Alma (Loseke) Welch. On April 25, 1933, Mabel was united in marriage to Elden Kaspar at St. John's Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Elden Kaspar; brother, Pete Welch; and sisters, Maggie Mackenstadt, Annie Bridges and Vera Loseke. MONROE - Ronald D. Burial is at Fairview Cemetery near Creston. Born April 12, 1945, in Norfolk, to Lowell and Ruby (Reitz) Scheffler. Gene served in the U. S. Army 1962-1964. On July 26, 1969, Gene married Diane Bartak in Madison. Preceded in death by his father, Lowell Scheffler and three brothers. YUMA, Ariz. - Duane M. DREESEN, 81, of Yuma, Ariz., died Sept. 11, 2006. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington. Burial, with military honors, is at St. Michael's Cemetery in Hartington. Born Oct. 5, 1924, in Hartington, to Frederick and Minnie (Peterson) Dreesen. He was in the U. S. Navy from 1945-46. He married Marian Carlson June 22, 1947. Preceded in death by his parents.
