Star Herald [Scottsbluff] Sept. 2006 SCOTTSBLUFF - Minnie A. LONGSINE, 99, of Scottsbluff, died Aug. 28, 2006. Funeral was Sept. 1 at the Faith Lutheran Church at Gering. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff. Minnie Anna Mary (Ludeke) Longsine, was born June 29, 1907 on a farm near Avoca (Otoe County), Neb. Along with her twin brother, Otto, she was the fifth of 11 children born to Fritz John Conrad and Margaretta Rebecca (Krueger) Ludeke. Minnie was united in marriage to Lee R. Longsine, Jan. 17, 1931 at Phillipsburg, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fritz and Margaret; husband: Lee; five brothers: William, Gerhardt, Fritz, Johns, twin brother Otto; five sisters: Hattie, Emma, Lena, Maggie, Frieda (in infancy); one granddaughter: Shelly (in infancy); and daughter-in-law: Marilynn. BRIDGERPORT - Andrew James LUMMEL, 18, of Bridgeport, died Sept. 2, 2006 of injuries suffered in a one vehicle accident east of Bridgeport. His Mass of Christian Burial was Sept. 6 at All Souls Catholic Church at Bridgeport. Interment was in the Redington Cemetery. Born Sept. 7, 1987 at Bridgeport, the son of James P. and Betty (Christensen) Lummel. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; grandfather: Howard Christensen; and cousin: Christopher Wise. SCOTTSBLUFF -- Alfred A. MAGALLANES, 58, of Scottsbluff, died Aug. 27, 2006, at his home. A memorial mass was held Aug. 31 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff. Inurnment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with military honors provided by the Nebraska National Guard. Born March 27, 1948, at Cheyenne, Wyo. to Aurelio and Katherine (Garcia) Magallanes. He graduated from the Scottsbluff High School. He married Glenda Lopez March 6, 1968, at Scottsbluff. Preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law: Joe Lopez. SCOTTSBLUFF - Aletha Lucille LOHRIE, 89, of Scottsbluff, died Sept. 4, 2006 at the West Nebraska Veteran's Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Bible Baptist Church in Scottsbluff. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Born Feb. 20, 1917 in Mariaville, Neb. to Verne C. and Katherine A. (Hasch) Armstrong. She married Henry Lohrie Oct. 28, 1972 in Scottsbluff. She is survived by her sister: Verna C. Brown of Scottsbluff. Her husband Henry preceded her in death. GERING - Henry "Hank" Frank HOHLFELD, 87, of Gering, died Aug. 31, 2006. His Mass of Christian Burial was Sept. 2 at Christ the King Catholic Church at Gering. Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery at Gering with Military Honors provided by the Nebraska National Guard. Born Aug. 28, 1919 at Sweetwater, Neb., the son of Edward and Gertrude (Kramer) Hohlfeld. Marriage to Virginia Graham, Sept. 19, 1940 at Kearney. Served with the U. S. Army during World War II. Virginia died 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Virginia; two brothers, and four sisters. SCOTTSBLUFF - Harvey LeRoy HEIMBOUCH, 41 of Scottsbluff, died Aug. 28, 2006 at his home. His funeral service was held Aug. 31 at Emmanuel Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering. Born Feb. 22, 1965 in Scottsbluff, the son of Edward and Joyce (Kampbell) Heimbouch. On Nov. 16, 1984, he married Gregoria Cruz Martinez from Morrill. To this union, two children were born: Ladessa Rashall and Desmond LeRoy. Preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents: John and Pauline Kampbell; and paternal grandparents: John and Marie Heimbouch; two nieces: Elizabeth and Catherine Ahlers; nephew: Aaron Ybarra; and uncle: Jerry Kampbell. MORRILL - Elmer J. BANTA, 94 died Sept 23, 2006 at his home. Arrangements are pending at the Jones Mortuary in Mitchell. Dorothy FLINT, 84, of Scottsbluff passed away Sept. 21, 2006. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Sept. 26, 2006 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in High Butte Cemetery in McGrew. She married Charles L. (Chuck) Flint Jan. 1, 1946 in Scottsbluff She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Charles, Maurice, George, Francis and Jack Grim, sister, Lorene an infant sister and daughter-in-law: Suzanne Flint. David Quinn GULICK, 62, of Scottsbluff, died Sept. 22, 2006. Arrangements are pending at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services in Scottsbluff. TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Graveside services with Military Honors for Lyle D. HALLEY, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 26, 2006 at the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Died on Sept. 22, 2006 at the Western Nebraska Veteran's Home in Scottsbluff. He was born on June 8, 1919 in Laird, Colo. the son of Harry and Estella (Spellman) Halley. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served in WWII. He married Oleta Mae Faihtinger on July 29, 1944 in Fresno, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale; and one sister, Wanda Williams. August J. LAGER, 88, of Scottsbluff died Sept. 21, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Military Honors conducted by the Nebraska National Guard. Born on July 7, 1918 in Clyde, Mo. to Herman G. and Augusta M. (Schieber) Lager. His parents, son Martin Paul Lager, brothers Ben, John, Herman, and Leo, sisters Anna, Agnes, Henrietta, Bernadine, Mary Gable, and Mary Rose, and great granddaughter Destiny Hayden preceded August in death. Frank A. SMITH, 83, of Gering, died Sept. 20, 2006 in Scottsbluff. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sept. 25, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Interment will be in the Mitchell Valley Cemetery at Mitchell. Born Feb. 27, 1923, at Ardmore, S.D. to Clark and Bertha (Meier) Smith. He married Patricia Hess July 15, 1949, in Harrison, Neb.
