Funeral services held Aug. 7, at the Emmanuel Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Born Aug 16, 1957, in Pomeroy, Ohio to Edward and Mary (Lowe) Chapman. Preceded in death by his mother. KILGORE, Texas - Earleen Robyn DAVIS was born in Sacramento Calif. July 31, 1964, and died July 30, 2007. Earleen was the daughter of Joyce and Jerry Barnholtz of Scottsbluff. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Davis of Kilgore, Texas; sisters, Bonney Barnholtz of Clinton, Iowa and Dustina Barnholtz of Scottsbluff; niece, McKenzey Barnholtz and nephew, J.D. Barnholtz both of Scottsbluff. Preceding her in death was her twin sister, Darleen. TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Rosie GLANDT, 95, died Aug. 2, 2007 in Scottsbluff. Funeral services held Aug. 7, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Born Mar 27, 1912 in Lusk, Wyo. the daughter of George and Teresa (Brewer) Hecklebech who had homesteaded north of Van Tassell around 1910. Rosie married Herman A. "Dick" Glandt Mar 29, 1933, in Harrison, Neb. Dick died in Sept of 1997 at the age of 92. Survivors include her sons, Richard and his wife Marilyn of Torrington, Wyo., Dan and his wife Ina of Cheyenne, Wyo.; grandsons, Jeff and wife Margery of Rapid City, S.D., Todd of Cheyenne, Bruce and wife Francine of Solon, Ohio, and Darryl of Rock Springs, Wyo.; four great-grandsons, four great-granddaughters, one great-great grandson; sisters, Mary Kilgore of Jackson, Miss., and Mabel Leighton of Fruita, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews and their families. MITCHELL - Donald Glen JOHNSON, 83, died at Scottsbluff, Aug. 2, 2007. Funeral held , Aug. 6 at the Jones Mortuary at Mitchell. Interment will be in the Mitchell city Cemetery. Born Nov. 29, 1923 in Stuart, Neb., the son of William E. and Alta F. (Couchman) Johnson. Entered the USAF in Sept 1948 during the Korean Conflict, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. Marriage to Joella Jenkins, Dec. 27, 1949 in Mitchell. Two children were born and raised, Donna Jo and Robert Glen. His parents preceded him in death. Raymond Eugene KAUTZ, of Gering died Aug. 2, 2007. Funeral services held Aug. 7, at Central Church of Christ for Celebration life. Interment at West Lawn Cemetery. Born in the Gering Valley June 17, 1933, the eldest of five children, to Jack and Ollie (Wineman) Kautz. He married Roslyn Ruth Brokken on Nov. 19, 1955. Ray sired and raised six children. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Grover Kautz, sisters Joan Chatterton and Linda Somr, and granddaughter Jessica Kautz. SUN CITY, Ariz. - Jake SCHAAF, 81, formerly from Bayard and Scottsbluff, died in Sun City, Ariz. July 27, 2007. Born in Montrose, Colo. May 5, 1926. He entered the Navy in 1943. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Jean, of Sun City; daughters, Debra (Charlie) Steel, grandson Capt. Chad Steel; Denise (Jeff) Thomas, grandson Brian Thomas; brothers, George of Scottsbluff, Henry of Greeley, Colo., Victor of Torrington, Wyo., and Robert of Sidney; and sister, Freda Hiegel of Scottsbluff. MITCHELL - Edwin P. "Ted" SMITH, 82, died Aug. 1, 2007 at his home. Graveside Funeral Services held Aug. 6, at the Mitchell City Cemetery. Jones Mortuary in Mitchell is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born Dec. 11, 1924 in the Sunflower Community northwest of Mitchell, to Edwin and Lillian (Bodeen) Smith. Served in the armed forces during WWII. Married Mona M. Hickey on April 10, 1961. His parents and a sister Margaret Anderson preceded Ted in death. LA GRANGE, Wyo. - Kirby TREMAIN, 91, died Aug. 3, 2007. Funeral services held Aug. 6, at the LaGrange Bible Church. Burial will follow in the LaGrange Cemetery. Born May 18, 1916, in Denver, the son of Gale and Iva (Latenser) Tremain. Married Lottie Nighswonger Dec. 6, 1937 in Greeley, Colo. Preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Gene Vetter. NORTH PLATTE - Frank L. BADE Memorial services Aug. 11, at the First Assembly of God in North Platte with the Reverend Don Bade Jr. officiating. Born Aug. 2, 1970, in Holdrege to Donald and Lorraine Pearce Bade. Entered the U. S. Air Force in the military police. Frank married Shelly Keller in 1996. His sister, Karen; brother, James; and uncle, Steve, preceded him in death. LINGLE, Wyo. - Harry D. BREMER, 75, died at his home Aug. 8, 2007. Funeral services Aug. 11, at North Hills Baptist Church. Burial in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Arr. are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home. Born Dec. 5, 1931 near Lingle, Wyo. the son of Walter and Bernice (Scriven) Bremer. Married Dixie Peterson Dec. 12, 1950, in Rapid City, S.D. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Glenn. Esther COMINGS, 84, of Gering, died Aug. 3, 2007. Memorial services held Aug. 15, 2007 at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton, Wyo. Born Aug. 16, 1922, in Jackson, Minn. the eldest of three children to Edward and Jennie Zellmer. Her husband and her parents preceded her in death. Lincoln B. "Link" HARRIGER, 76, of rural Scottsbluff, died Aug. 5, 2007. At his request, cremation was held at the Jolliffe Funeral Home Crematory at Scottsbluff. Memorial Service Aug. 10, at the Jones Mortuary in Mitchell. Inurnment will be in the Mitchell City Cemetery with Masonic Rites by the Robert W. Furnas Lodge #265 A.F. and A.M. Born Mar 22, 1931 in Fullerton, Neb., the son of Harold Edgar and Laura Mae (Pittenger) Harriger. Enlisted in the U. S. Navy, Oct. 15, 1951 and was honorably discharged Oct. 14, 1955. Marriage to Margaret Hrasky, Mar 15, 1974, in Mitchell. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and five sisters. Albert L. PEPLER, 83, of Scottsbluff, died Aug. 5, 2007. Memorial funeral services held Aug. 11, 2007at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Scottsbluff. His remains were cremated. A private family inurnment preceded the funeral at the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Born July 2, 1924 in Bayard to Andrew and Amelia (Kniss) Pepler. Served with the U. S. Army during WWII. He married Lois Eileen Forsyth Dec. 29, 1950, in Scottsbluff.
