Marcella A. KEANE, age 61, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away July 4, 2007
after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service was held July 8, at the 
Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge in Henderson, Nevada. Born Jan 22, 1946 in 
Kearney, Nebraska to Frank and Opal Ripp. Survivors include her husband 
Lonnie Keane of Henderson, Nevada; son Patrick Powell of Stromsburg, NE; 
two daughters Lora Powell of Chicago, Illinois and Jillian Byrd of Salt Lake 
City, Utah; two step-daughters Lori Homolka of Grand Island, NE and LeAnn 
Schultz of Lincoln, NE; sister Irene Marks of Omaha, NE, brother Jim Ripp of 
Shelton, NE; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of 
other relatives and friends.

Paul MOORE, age 80, of Stromsburg, NE, passed away on July 7, 2007. 
Funeral services were July 10, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Stromsburg 
Baptist Church. Interment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Military Rites 
by Stromsburg Legion Post #132. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and 
Osceola was in charge of arrangements. Born on Mar 30, 1927, to Floyd 
and Gertrude (Stanton) Moore in York, Nebraska. On Mar 30, 1948, 
married Mary Ann Anderson at the Baptist Church in Stromsburg. 
To this union, four children were born. His wife Mary Ann passed away 
Nov 8, 2006. Preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Gertrude, and 
his wife Mary Ann.

Melvin H. LINDA, age 85, of Surprise, died July 9 in David City. 
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran 
Church in Rising City with burial at Faith West Cemetery. Chermok Funeral 
Home in David City is in charge of arrangements. Born Mar 31, 1922 to 
Helmut and Ella (Rathje) Linda on a farm 1 mile north and 1 1/4 west of 
Surprise. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Irene and Lucile, 
one brother and sister-in-law Robert and Arlene (Riblett) Linda, nephew 
Dale Linda and niece Debra Linda. 

Rhonda JOHNSON, age 42, of Genoa, passed away July 19, 2007 in Lincoln. 
Funeral services were held July 23rd at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in 
GenoaInterment was in Valley View Cemetery in Genoa. Patrick Funeral Chapel 
was in charge of arrangements.

Neva M. LIEDLOFF, 103, died July 16, 2007 in Osceola. 
Funeral services were held July 19, 2007 at the Bates-Gould Chapel. 
Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in 
charge of arrangements.
