William MORAVEC, 95, died June 29, 2007, in Seward. Born on Aug. 31, 1911, in Bee to Joe and Mary Moravec. He attended Bee High School. On Nov. 14, 1931, married Lydia Hamsa in Bee. Following Lydia's death in 1976, he married Irene Ruzowski-Watson on April 14, 1978. Preceded in death by wife Lydia; brothers Frank, Ed, Emil and Joe; sisters Helen Handler, Rose Houska, Anna Houska, Agnes Mares, and Adella Duffek; and son-in-law Ralph Eggerling. Services were July 2, 2007 at the Volzke Funeral Home Chapel. Pamela Jean PIERCE, 49, Seward, died July 21, 2007. Born June 7, 1958, in Beatrice to Elvin and Kay Kvasnicka. On Sept. 14, 1999, she married Chuck Pierce and they made their home in Seward. Preceded in death by mother Kay Kvasnicka; and grandparents Fred and Emma Brolhorst and Otto and Mary Kvasnicka. Services were July 25 at the Wood-Zabka Funeral Home. Audrey RUTLEDGE, 75, Utica, died July 23, 2007. Born Nov. 5, 1931, in Seward to Munro and Goldie Furtwangler. She graduated from Seward High School in 1949. Preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Louise and Everett Whitenack; brother-in-law John Kuhl; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jerry and Jo Winkleman. Services were held July 26 at Utica United Methodist Church. Margaret E. VENZ, 86, Beardstown, Ill., died July 19, 2007. Born June 12, 1921, in Seward, to Fred and Whilhelmina Ritterbush. On June 25, 1944, she married Norman Venz at Zion Lutheran Church, Marysville. Preceded in death by husband, Norman; sisters and brothers-in-law Louise and Merold Tonniges and Hertha and Herb Carr; brothers-in-law, Harold Volzke and George Ruether. Funeral services were July 23 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville, Ill. Keinard Fred WEBER, 88, Friend, died July 24, 2007, in Lincoln. Born August 11, 1918, near Friend to Fred and Lille Weber. Enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent time in World War II, where he received a Purple Heart before his discharge in 1946. Married Loretta West of Valparaiso. Preceded in death by brothers Ivan and Stanley and sister-in-law Miriam.
