Tri-City Tribune July 2007 James S. HATHAWAY, 88, of Lexington, NE, died June 29, 2007 in Elwood, NE. Born on May 31, 1919, to George and Maude (Heinzman) Hathaway in Chicago, Illinois. Entered the U. S. Army on Sept 16, 1940. On Sept 7, 1940, he married Flora A. Rosberg in Northbrook, Illinois. To this union four children were born, Richard, Carol, Robert, and Pamela. On June 16, 1973, he married Hilda Naumann Kohl in Cozad, Nebraska. Preceded in death by his first wife, Flora; and two brothers, George and Willis. It was Jim's wishes his body be cremated. Memorial services were held July 5, 2007. Burial with Military Honors was held in Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE. Nyle K. ANDERSON, 78, of Lexington, NE, died July 1, 2007 in Elwood, NE. He was born April 1, 1929, in Furnas County, Nebraska, to John Henry and Lula Belle (Cross) Anderson. Married Alberta Jean Chapman on April 8, 1948, at Edison. This union was blessed with five children, Ilene, Kenny, Darlene, Gale, and Gailene. Preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Darlene; one brother, John; and one sister, Cleora Bacon. Funeral services were held July 6, 2007, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Burial was in the Edison Cemetery at Edison. Nancy Lee ROENFELDT, 73, of Treasure Island, FL, formerly of Grand Island, NE, passed away July 5, 2007. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Richard; three sons, Steve Dickinson of Tustin, CA, Michael Dickinson of Grand Island and Kevin Roenfeldt of St. Petersburg; four sisters, Terry Larson of Grand Island, Peggy Fletcher of Lincoln, NE, Judy Bremer of CO and Mary Marr of The Villages, Florida; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held in Grand Island at a later date. Calvin C. EATON, 83 of Cozad, NE, died July 6, 2007. Born Jan 20, 1924 at the family farmstead northeast of Willow Island, NE, to Harry and Ruth Duguay Eaton. He attended high school at Cozad where he graduated in 1940. In 1949 he married Barbara Williams at Scottsbluff, NE. Preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Wayne and Loren Eaton; and a son-in-law, Roger Stackhouse. A memorial service was held July 10, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Cozad. Berryman Funeral Home of Cozad was in charge of arrangements. William "Bill" J. THOMALLA , 60, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died on July 9, 2007 at his home. He was born on May 15, 1947, to Earl and Belle Derra Thomalla at Gothenburg. Served his country in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1972. Married Rita Dietz on April 24, 1971, at Gothenburg. Preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Douglas and Gary. Mass of Christian burial held on July 12, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Gothenburg, Nebraska.
