O'DELL, 90, of South Sioux City passed away June 11, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be June 14, 2007 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery, rural Homer, Neb. Born Sept. 24, 1916, in rural Emerson, Neb., the daughter of Otto and Annie (Roost) Keuck. She married Thomas O'Dell on Jan. 10, 1935, in Elk Point, S.D. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas on Dec. 11, 1975 in Sioux City; her parents; an infant son, Orval; a stepson, Mike O'Dell; a stepdaughter, Nadine Johanson Lewon; three brothers; seven sisters; a grandson, Robert Johanson; and a great-great-grandson. BARTEK, 78, of Sioux City died June 9, 2007, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Born on July 19, 1928, in Colon, Neb., the son of Frank and Magdeline (Buresh) Bartek. Married Darlene Focht on Sept. 28, 1946. Darlene preceded him in death in Sept of 2002 in Sioux City. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Darlene; two brothers, Frank and Joseph Bartek; and a sister, Magdeline Bartek. Glenn Eugene PALMER, 79, of Sioux City died June 24, 2007, at his residence. Services at Church of the Nativity. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Born Dec. 18, 1927, the son of Francis and Eva Palmer, in Sidney, Neb. Served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and again with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Married Jacqueline Kinnamon on June 16, 1951, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River, Neb. Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and George; and two sisters, Edith and Elizabeth. SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Sterling E. "Doc" STEWART, 87, of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, June 24, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital. Services Thursday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery, with military rites. Born Dec. 30, 1919, in Allen, Neb., the son of Leroy Sterling and Augusta Mae (McCloud) Stewart. He graduated from Ponca (Neb.) High School and attended Wayne State College. Married Elizabeth B. Curry on Aug. 20, 1942, in Albuquerque, N.M. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
