On Sept. 28, 1949, he married Sylvia Odvody in Wahoo. His parents, his wife, two brothers, Carl and Al Krumel and two sisters, Irene Zakovec and Marie Wright, preceded him in death. Funeral services: Mar 9 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Moser Memorial Chapel of Fremont is in charge of the arrangements. SULLIVAN, Ill. - Melvin W. "Mel" RADFORD, 53, of Sullivan, Ill. died Mar 2, 2007 at his home. Born Sept. 6, 1953 to Leland and Marian (Minzel) Radford in Seward. He was a 1972 graduate of Wahoo High School. Married Caren E. (Beckman) Poe on Nov. 18, 1995 in Decatur. His maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death. Funeral services: Mar 7, 2007 at the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan. WAHOO - Edith I. COPELAND, 91, of Wahoo, formerly of Waterloo, died Mar 1, 2007. Born on July 2, 1915 to Isaac and Mary (Traxler) Simmons in Selden, Kan. Marriage to Lee Copeland on Sept. 9, 1938 at Beaver City. Her husband, daughter-in-law, Shelia Copeland, three sisters and five brothers, preceded her in death. Celebration of Life was held Mar. 5, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Waterloo. Interment was at Deaver Cemetery at Stamford. WAHOO - Frank M. NEMEC, 94, of Wahoo, died Feb. 27, 2007. Born on Nov. 10, 1912 to Joseph and Mary (Dolezal) Nemec at Prague. Married Mary A. Linhart on Aug. 22, 1959, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hennessy, Okla. Mary died March 26, 2002. He is survived by a sister, Lillian Kremlacek of Wahoo; brother and sister-in-law, Julius and Rose Nemec of Prague; nephews, Bill and Eugene Kremlacek and Joe Nemec; and niece, Elizabeth McCoy. Mass of Christian Burial: Mar 6, 2007 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Wahoo. WAHOO - Edward "Ed" W. NEMECEK, Sr., 82, of Wahoo, died Mar 2, 2007. Born July 21, 1924, to Vennie and Bessie (Mach) Nemecek, Sr. in Wahoo. Graduate of Wahoo High School in 1942. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. On Aug. 20, 1947, he married Catherine (Katie) Hobza in a double wedding ceremony with Katie's sister, Marie and Dan Stoupa at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. His parents precede him in death. Mass Christian Burial: Mar 8, 2007 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery in Wahoo with military rites. WAHOO - Donald Dee JOHNSON, 67, of Wahoo, formerly of Moses Lake, Wash. and Norfolk, died Mar 14, 2007 at his home. Born Mar 2, 1940 to Lloyd A. and Ethyl (Keck) Johnson at Wheatland, Wyo. Married Mary Stallings on May 20, 1961. Served in the U. S. Army from 1963 to 1965. His parents and a sister, Jolyne Kutschkau, preceded him in death. Memorial service: March 20, 2007 at Svoboda Funeral Home Chapel. PORTLAND, Ore. - Christine M. DRESSELHAUS, 99 of Portland, Ore. died on Mar 10, 2007. Preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Mary Vasina, Francis Dolezal, Stella Ohnoutka, Agnes Bradford and Carolyn Cramer; brothers, Tony, Frank Jr. and Joe Vybiral; and nephews Frank Vybiral III and Anthony Vasina. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park in Lincoln. CERESCO - Chester J. STURM, 85, of Ceresco died on Mar 7, 2007 in Lincoln. Born on June 13, 1921 to Roy and Marie (Scherf) Sturm in Ada, Minn. On Sept. 18, 1945, he married Alda Swanson. He was a World War II veteran. Preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and brothers-in-law, Earl Bergeson and Ralph Throckmorton. Services were held Mar 10, 2007 at the Ceresco Evangelical Church, with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park. FREMONT - Charles J. BRABEC, 86, of Fremont died on Mar 12, 2007. Born Aug. 20 to Anton and Christine (Machovec) Brabec at Wahoo. He married Fredora Vetter on Aug. 24 1972 at Marysville, Kan. Served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1945, during World War II. Preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; two sisters, Julia Lehr and Christine Schmidt; and a grandson, Leif Peterson. Funeral services: Mar 16, 2007 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Omaha, NE. Military services will be conducted at the cemetery. LINCOLN - Jerome W. HITTNER, 77, of Weston died Mar 14, 2007. "Bob" NEAL, 85, of Satellite Beach, Fla. died Feb. 24, 2007. Born in Winner, S.D. and was raised in Wahoo. The retired USAF Col. was a veteran of WW II, Korea and Vietnam.
