Grant Tribune Sentinel May 2007 Kenneth "Ken" R. PALUMBO, 47 of Phillipston, Mass., died April 23, 2007 in his residence following a lengthy illness. Born on Aug. 12, 1959, he was the son of the late Richard and Leona (Jenkins) Palumbo. He was preceded in death by a sister Vivian (Palumbo) Arsenault, who died in 1976. Funeral services were held April 28, 2007 from the Boucher Funeral Home with Mass at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. Burial was in Lower Cemetery, Phillipston. Richard BARNETT was born on July 23, 1945 at Grant, Neb. Second of nine children born to Charles and Loveta Rowley Barnett. Joined the U. S. Marine Corps in 1966 and served in Vietnam as a radio operator until his discharge in 1969. He received the Purple Heart medal. Served with the Marine Corps Reserve until 1972. Married to Denise Graham on Aug. 3, 1973 in Grant. Preceded in death by his father and two brothers, an infant, Frank, and Carl who died in the Vietnam War. Funeral services were held May 16, 2007 at the Grant United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery with a military tribute. Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Willis BURNHAM was born on Aug. 1, 1922 at Witten, S.D. Youngest of four children born to Warren and Ona Hollenbeck Burnham. Joined the U. S. Air Force during WWII and served in the European theater. Married Carol Kirkpatrick on Mar 25, 1951 at the Grant Congregational Church. He died May 22, 2007 at the age of 84. Preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Schnitzer, and two infant granddaughters. Funeral services were May 26 at the Grant Congregational Church.
