Funeral services for Betty MARKSMEIER, 83 of Wisner, were Sept. 5, 2007
at the United Methodist Church of Christ in Wisner. Burial was in St. Joseph's 
Cemetery in Wisner. She died Sept. 1, 2007 in Norfolk.

Charles DALBY, 79, of Scribner, died Sept. 3, 2007, in Fremont. 
Funeral services Sep. 6, 2007, at United Lutheran Church, Scriber.
Burial will be in the Pilger Cemetery.Ludvigsen  Scribner Funeral Chapel 
in Scribner is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held Aug. 29, 2007, for Elverna BINGHAM at 
United Lutheran Church in Laurel. Inurnment was Sept. 1, 2007, at 
the Bancroft Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents; husband 
George in 1998; an infant daughter; a brother and one sister.

Harry PAPPAS, 85, Lincoln, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, in Lincoln. 
Funeral services were Sept. 8, 2007, at St. Teresa's Catholic 
Church, Lincoln. 

Bernadine RIEF, 92, of West Point, died Sept. 6, 2007. Mass of 
Christian burial was Sept. 10, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. 
Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. 

Marian R. MACKLIN, 81 of Pender, died on Sept. 6, 2007. Funeral 
services were Sept. 10, 2007, at the Covenant Church in Pender. 
Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pender.

Lyle C. PETERSEN, 77, Fremont, died Sept. 9, 2007, at Immanuel 
Medical Center, Omaha. Funeral services Sept. 13, 2007, at 
St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge. Military graveside 
services will be by the Fremont Honor Guard of VFW Post #854 
and American Legion Post #20. Burial will be at St. Wenceslaus 
Catholic Cemetery, Dodge.

Funeral services for Lucille (Mrs. Edgar) LOEWE, 86 of Wisner, 
Sept. 15, 2007 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisner. Burial at 
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery rural Beemer. Lucille died Sept. 10, 2007.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo, Nels, Earl and Keith 
Bittner; and sisters, Doretha Feyerherm and Goldie Charf.

Funeral services for Arnold DABERKOW, 91 of West Point, were 
Sept. 19, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer. 
Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Arnold died Sept. 13, 2007.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; infant daughter; grandson, 
Daniel Jensen; great-granddaughter, Mika Daberkow; stillborn infant daughter 
of James and Michelle (Hansen) Daberkow; infant sister Helene, sisters, Louise 
Behling, Anna Heller, Frieda Schultz, Herta Ott; brothers, William, Ernst, George, 
Victor, Robert, Harvey, Frederich as a child and Harry as an infant.

Walt VENNER of Aurora, Colo. died at his home on Sept. 9, 2007. 
Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2007, at Fort Logan, Colo.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hans and Ernest; and 
a sister, Bernice.

LeRoy G. BREITBARTH, 90, of Pender, died on Sept. 12, 2007 in 
Onawa, Iowa. Funeral services were Sept. 15, 2007 at St. John 
Lutheran Church south of Pender. Preceded in death by his parents 
and two brothers, Myron and Emery.

Marie S. ORTMEIER, 89, died Sept. 15, 2007 in Fremont. A funeral 
Mass was Sept. 18, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Fremont. 
Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. Preceded in death by her 
parents; husband, Casper on Jan. 3, 2007; daughter, Mary Lou 
Ortmeier; four brothers; three sisters and an infant sister.

Melva A. C. SHIPLER, 85, of Oakland, formerly of Fremont, died 
Sept. 20, 2007 in Oakland. Funeral services were Sept. 22, 2007, at 
the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland. Burial was 
Sept. 24, 2007, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Fremont.

Delwyn W. VAKINER, 72, Oakland, formerly of Dodge, died 
Sept. 17, 2007. A funeral service was held Sept. 21, 2007, at 
St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Snyder, with burial in the Snyder 
Cemetery. Survivors include a brother, Lloyd Vakiner of Dodge; a 
sister, Iona Vakiner of Oakland; nieces and nephews.

Alyce LaVerne (Hibbs) BENSON, 82, died Sept. 20, 2007 in Papillion. 
Funeral service Sept. 29, 2007, at Memorial United Methodist Church, Lyons. 
Interment in the Lyons Cemetery.

Funeral services for Gladys YINDRICK, 98, David City, were, Sept. 28, 2007, 
at St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City. Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church 
Cemetery, David City.
