Mass of Christian burial was Sept. 10, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. Marian R. MACKLIN, 81 of Pender, died on Sept. 6, 2007. Funeral services were Sept. 10, 2007, at the Covenant Church in Pender. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Pender. Lyle C. PETERSEN, 77, Fremont, died Sept. 9, 2007, at Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha. Funeral services Sept. 13, 2007, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church at Dodge. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo, Nels, Earl and Keith Bittner; and sisters, Doretha Feyerherm and Goldie Charf. Funeral services for Arnold DABERKOW, 91 of West Point, were Sept. 19, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Beemer. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Arnold died Sept. 13, 2007. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred; infant daughter; grandson, Daniel Jensen; great-granddaughter, Mika Daberkow; stillborn infant daughter of James and Michelle (Hansen) Daberkow; infant sister Helene, sisters, Louise Behling, Anna Heller, Frieda Schultz, Herta Ott; brothers, William, Ernst, George, Victor, Robert, Harvey, Frederich as a child and Harry as an infant. Walt VENNER of Aurora, Colo. died at his home on Sept. 9, 2007. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2007, at Fort Logan, Colo. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Hans and Ernest; and a sister, Bernice. LeRoy G. BREITBARTH, 90, of Pender, died on Sept. 12, 2007 in Onawa, Iowa. SHIPLER, 85, of Oakland, formerly of Fremont, died Sept. 20, 2007 in Oakland. Funeral services were Sept. 22, 2007, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland. Burial was Sept. 24, 2007, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Fremont. Delwyn W. VAKINER, 72, Oakland, formerly of Dodge, died Sept. 17, 2007.
