Born Mar 5, 1925 in Osceola, NE to Donald R. and Joyslyn (Snider) Byers, Sr. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother Don, Jr. Iola B. HINES, age 92, of Stromsburg, NE formerly of York died Mar 26, 2008. Born July 23, 1915 in Polk County, NE to Gustav and Betsy (Berglund) Eklund. Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, four brothers Carl, Herman, Raymond and Vern and two sisters Florence and Anne. Catherine T. WILLITS, age 88, of Clarks, NE, died Mar 24, 2008 at Osceola, NE. She was born Aug 23, 1919 in rural York, NE to August P. and Catherine (Schneider) Deprez. Preceding her in death were her parents; six brothers: John, Henry, Joe, August Jr., Paul and Harold. The body was cremated. Memorial services were held April 2, 2008 at the Metz Chapel in York. Inurnment followed at the Greenwood Cemetery at York. Tim STANTON grew up in Stromsburg, NE, the son of Bud and Lola Mae Stanton. He died Mar 24, 2008 at his home in Fort Collins, CO. Preceded in death by his mother, Lola Mae Stanton, of Stromsburg, NE. A memorial service was held on Mar 29, 2008 at Timberline Church in Fort Collins, CO. Vava G. PIETERS, age 94, of Rising City, NE, died Mar 17, 2008. Funeral services were Mar 20, 2008 at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola, NE. A private interment was held at Circle Mound Cemetery in Rising City. Preceded in death by her husband Ted; two brothers, Claude and Lester; three sisters, Lorreta Dienstbier, Iola Schmoker and Opal King. Letha A. SOLL, age 90, of Osceola, NE, died April 4, 2008. Funeral services were April 7, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Graveside service and interment in the Columbus Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg was in charge of arrangements. She was preceded in death by her husbands James Viergutz and Charles Soll. Karen R. BLASE, 59, of Omaha, died on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Funeral services were at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Polk on April 14, 2008. Interment was in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. Solt Funeral Home in Central City was in charge of local arrangement. Preceded in death by parents Carl M. Blase on May 17, 2000 and Louise A. Nov 30, 2006, brothers; Mark in infancy 1961, Roger in 1972. Sadie B. Napier Walden ALSHOUSE died April 8, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 102 years and 7 months. Preceded in death by her son Donald Walden of San Antonio, TX, 2 step children Robert Alshouse and Virginia Makovicka of Columbus, NE, 2 husbands,Russell Walden and Raymond Alshouse, 2 sisters, 4 brothers and her parents. Margaret K. BITTINGER, 86, of Lincoln, formerly of Clarks and Central City, NE died April 11, 2008. A celebration and remembrance of her life was held on April 15, 2008, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clarks. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Clarks, Nebraska. Wagner Funeral Home in Central City was in charge of the arrangements. Preceded in death by her parents, a son, Mike Bittinger of Salina, KS and a brother, Don Hayes of Osceola, NE. Deloras D. HANSON, age 86, of Osceola, NE, died April 6, 2008 at her residence in Osceola. Funeral April 10, 2008 at United Methodist Church in Osceola. Interment was in the Osceola Cemetery.
