Funeral services held Jan. 5, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Imperial. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, NE. Sandra Jane WAY was born Nov. 16, 1955, in Wichita, Kan. to Jim and Wynona (Morley) White. Married Ray L. Way on Nov. 1, 1986. She died Dec. 27, 2007, at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant, Neb. She was 52 years of age. Preceded in death by her father, Jim White; and brother, Carrl White. Funeral services were held Dec. 31, 2007 at Liewer Funeral Home of Imperial, NE. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Frank OSLER, age 88, of Imperial, passed away Jan. 6, 2008. Memorial services held Jan. 11, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of Imperial. Inurnment will follow at the Blanche Cemetery, rural Elsie, Neb.Liewer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Bob GRADOVILLE, 83, died Jan. 9, 2008, at the Papillion Manor near Omaha. Services Jan. 14, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Omaha. Preceded in death by his wife, Rita, his parents and two brothers. Connie Jean JAEGER, 67, died Jan. 6, 2008 in Kearney, Neb. due to respiratory complications from a long-term illness. Born in Imperial, Neb. on May 10, 1940 as a fraternal twin of her brother, Ronald. Preceding her in death were grandparents, Cleora and Clifton Morrison and Ruth and Walter Jaeger; parents, Ruth and Wayne Jaeger; uncles, Clifton Morrison and Eugene Jaeger; aunts, Bonnie Clark and Shirley Morrison; and a stillborn great niece, Gabrielle Strieder. A funeral service was held on Jan. 10, 2008, in the United Methodist Church of Imperial. Interment was held at the Mount Hope Cemetery of Imperial. Gerald Edwin WINE was born on May 4, 1913, in rural Chase County, eight miles north of Wauneta, NE, the ninth of 13 children born to Reverend David G. and Lottie Wine. On Oct. 23, 1949, he married Arlene Trowbridge. He passed away on Jan. 3, 2008, at the age of 94. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters, Blanche Vandyke, Glen, Lee, Lois Oltman, Leta Smith, Virginia Jensen, Newell, Eunice Trowbridge and Nadine Warnke. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren in Enders on Jan. 8, 2008. There was a private family inurnment. Joseph J. GREENE was born Jan. 24, 1924, to Joseph H. Greene and Vera M. (Bricker) Greene on a farm near Enders, Neb. Served in the Army Air Corp as an airplane mechanic in India. Married Gloria Bremer in 1952, an Imperial native, daughter of Albert and Ione Bremer. He died Dec. 23, 2007, in Colorado Springs, Colo., where had recently moved to be with his daughter, Annette, and son-in-law, Jim. Preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria Marie (Bremer) Greene; his daughter, Sylvia Kay (Greene) Large, and infant son, Robert Alan Greene. Imperial United Methodist Church hosted the celebration of life Dec. 29, 2007. Interment was at Mount Hope Cemetery and Andrew Kinder VFW Post #4688 rendered a 21-gun salute. Wilfred Henry Nelson MILLER, a lifelong area resident, passed away Jan. 25, 2008. Born Feb. 7, 1913 to Anna Wallin Miller and Locy Nelson Miller on their farm home, 15 miles west of Imperial. On Dec. 25, 1932 he married Helen Dunbar. To this union three children were born: Murlena, Wilfred (Bill) and Delvis. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen; his parents; two brothers; two sisters; one daughter-in-law; two grandsons and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Jan. 30, 2008 at the United Methodist Church of Imperial with interment following at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial. Liewer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Elzada DOUGHERTY, 79, passed away Jan. 13, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nev. Born Nov. 16, 1928 in Imperial, Neb.
