Church of Christ (Osage). 

Cory A. ECKERT, 49, Roca, died May 31, 2008, at home.
Born Nov 7, 1958, Lincoln, to Duane E. and Geraldine A. (Peters) Eckert. 
Graduated, Waverly High School. Married Carol Nelson, Oct 1, 1994. 
Preceded in death by parents; grandparents; brother-in-law, Michael 
Nelson. Services held June 5, 2008, Good Shepherd Lutheran

Joseph Harold GUENTHER, 91, Lincoln, died May 27, 2008. Born to William 
and Alta (Johnston) Guenther, June 7, 1916, Cortland. Farmed near 
Cortland for many years. Celebrated 68 years of marriage on Sept 27, 2007.
Survivors: wife, Valerie (Hochheim) Guenther, Lincoln; sister, Ethel 
Ikerd, Lincoln; numerous nieces, nephews. Preceded in death by 
parents; brothers, Arthur, Lester, Ralph "Curly" Guenther; 
sisters, Esther Weinke, Ruby Marsh, Edith Wolken; nieces, nephews.
Services were held May 30, 2008, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.

Carl Frederich HARMS, 84, Humboldt, died May 24, 2008. 
Born on farm south of Humboldt to Edo and Emma (Sutorius) Harms.

Larry Lee KREIFELS, 67, Lincoln, died May 25, 2008. Born Jan 1, 1941, Nebraska City
to Martin and Helen (Heng) Kreifels. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Donald

Gloria Kay MICHEL, 58, Lincoln, died June 1, 2008. Born Feb 17, 1950, Humboldt
to Carl and Bernice (Gobber) Bohling. Grew up on farm south of Johnson. Married 
high school sweetheart Kenneth Michel, May 9, 1970, had two children. Preceded 
in death by mother, Bernice Rodie-Bohling and father, Carl Bohling; brother, Gary 
Bohling. Services were held June 4, 2008, Southwood Lutheran Church.

Glen PFINGSTEN, 86, rural Beatrice, died June 2, 2008, Lincoln. Born, rural 
DeWitt, to the late Herman and Emma Hahn Pfingsten. Services held 
June 5, 2008, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beatrice. Burial: Evergreen Home 
Cemetery, Beatrice. 

Helen L. RICKMAN, 85, Lincoln, died May 28, 2008. Born Helen 
Lucile, Nov 13, 1922, to Minert and Olga (Krumm) Behrens in Adams. 
Graduated from Adams High School, 1939. Taught at various schools 
in southeast Nebraska for nine years. Preceded in death by husband 
of 34 years, J.B. Rickman; parents; four siblings, Leon, Harvey, and 
Edward Behrens, Frances Seyler. Services were held June 2, 2008, 
American Lutheran Church, Adams. Interment: Highland 
Cemetery, Adams.

Kenneth R. RUISINGER, 71, died June 1, 2008, Lincoln. Survivors: 
wife, Kathryn (Elliott) Ruisinger, Lincoln; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian 
and Linda Ruisinger, Scottsdale, Arizona; Robert and Amy Ruisinger, Bennet; 
William and Janelle Ruisinger, Bonner Springs, Kansas; three grandchildren.

Doris A. WEHRLI, 87, Lincoln, died May 27, 2008. Born Aug 1, 1920, rural Cortland, to 
S. Jay and Anna (Bunte) Hartzell. Robert preceded her in death, 1998. Moved back

Louise Fay (Sherry) FISHER, 91, Bennet, died June 11, 2008. 
Born May 12, 1917, Mertens, Texas, to Alfred Daniel Sherry and 
Mae Nina (Spencer) Sherry. Married Vestal G. Fisher on Aug 3, 1935
in Bay City, Texas. Husband preceded her in death on Sept 5, 1998.
