Brian "Radar" L. BOYE, Sr., age 59, of Stromsburg, NE died May 2, 2008 at his home.
Memorial services were held May 9, 2008 at Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg.  
Inurnment was in the Stromsburg Cemetery. Military Rites by the Stromsburg Legion 
Post #132. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola was in charge of 
arrangements. Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Bernadine Boye, Sr.; five 
half brothers, and one half sister.

June APPLEGARTH, 91, of Alliance, died April 29, 2008. Mass of Christian 
Burial was May 2, 2008 at Holy Rosary Church, Alliance, NE. 

E. Lee ADAMS, age 77, of Lincoln, NE, died April 29, 2008 at Lincoln. 
He was born on Oct 7, 1930 at Clarinda, IA to Maxine Gestrine.
He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorials services were 
held May 2, 2008 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Lincoln. 

Gerald Samuel “Jerry” KRIEWALD, 82, of Ord, NE died April 28, 2008
in O’Neill, NE. Funeral services were held May 2, 2008 at the First 
Christian Church in Burwell, NE. Burial was in the Cottonwood Cemetery. 
Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell was in charge of arrangements. 
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, a son Nicholas, a grandson 
Jeffrey Crosser and two sisters Mildred and Kathryn. 

Genevieve “Gen” R. HANUS, age 92, of Lincoln, formerly of David 
City, died in Lincoln. Services held May 2, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church in David City. Burial in Sts. Peter and Mary Cemetery in rural 
Bellwood. Chermok Funeral Home in David City is in charge of arrangements. 
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, two children Jeanne 
Hanus and Gerald Hanus, infant brother Herman and brother John Hanus, and 
three sisters Caroline Birkel, Angeline Sutter and Josephine Albers. 

James F. (Jim) WHITE, age 86, of Osceola, NE, died May 9, 2008.
Mass of Christian burial was held May 12 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church in Osceola.   
Inurnment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yorkfollowing the service. Dubas Funeral 
Home of Stromsburg and Osceola was in charge of arrangements. Preceded in death 
by his parents, John and Mary White, twin sister Betty Plugge, brother John White; 
sisters Dorothy Flagolle and Margie Johnson.

LaVaughn Alex ADELSON, 78, of Polk, died May 18, 2008. Services May 22, 2008
at the Calvary Lutheran Church at Swede Home. Interment in the Calvary Lutheran 
Cemetery at Swede Home. Solt Funeral Home of Polk is in charge of the arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and one 
brother – Marland Adelson. 

Verland O. “V.O.” BAUER, age 85 of Rising City, died May 16, 2008 in David City. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Florinda Kopke. Services were 
held May 19, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Rising City. Burial was in 
Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Chermok Funeral Home of David City. 

Correne “Corky” Y. HEDRICK age 85 of York, NE died May 13, 2008. Born on Feb 9, 1923 
to Verle E. and Gertrude F. (Walter) Hedrick. Preceding her in death were her 
parents, brothers Stanley and David, two nephews, and brothers-in-law Alvin Kath 
and Daniel Schultze. Funeral services were held May 19, 2008 at the First United 
Methodist Church in York.  Interment was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.  
Metz Mortuary, York handled the arrangements. 

Ronald E. LERCH of Omaha died May 11, 2008 at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha, NE. 
Funeral services were May 15, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellevue, NE. 
Military honors performed by Offutt AFB Honor Guard at Bellevue Cemetery. 
Preceded in death by his father Edwin Lerch in 1970, infant brother Steven 
Lerch and infant grandson Justin Dittmer.
