MACY, Neb. -- Francina J. FREEMONT, 72, of Ponca, Neb., formerly of Macy
died May 3, 2008. Services at the Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy. Burial in Omaha 
Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home 
in Pender, Neb. Born Mar 21, 1936, in Winnebago, Neb., to Wilson and Rosalie (Wolfe) 
Freemont. Preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Wilson Freemont Jr.; 
another brother, Wilson Freemont Jr.; and sisters, Maxine Crowe and Rosalinda Wolfe. 

DAKOTA CITY -- Glendora Mae McCULLOCH, 73, of Dakota City died May 7, 2008
at her residence. Services at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Burial in Dakota City 
Cemetery. Born Aug. 12, 1934, in Macy Neb., to Leo E. and Inez F. (Oakley) Church. 
Married James R. McCulloch on Aug. 31, 1950 in Dakota City. He died June 19, 1978 
in Dakota City. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a 
son, Ronnie; six brothers, Ariel, Donnie, Willard, Maynard, George and Cleo; and 
a sister, Irma.

Ella L. "Snooks" BRACHT, 69, of Sioux City died May 6, 2008, following a sudden illness.
Services at St. Michael Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. 
Born Oct. 24, 1938, in Hartington, NE, to Kermit and Loretta (Remington) Hamilton. 
Married Robert J. Bracht on June 27, 1958, in Sioux City. Preceded in death by her 
parents; a brother, John Lanphear; a brother-in-law, Don Coulson; and a 
sister-in-law, Linda Bracht.

John G. RYAN, 96, of Jackson, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, died May 8, 2008, at 
his nephew's residence in Jackson. Services at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in 
Jackson, with the Rev. John J. Lynch, S.J., his nephew, officiating. Burial in 
St. John's Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the American Legion 
Harty-McNalley Post 175. Arr. by Christy-Smith Larkin Northside Chapel in 
Sioux City. Born Dec. 25, 1911, in Jackson, the son of John and Bea 
(McBride) Ryan. Married Rose V. Frink at St. Boniface Catholic Church in 
Sioux City on Aug. 19, 1940. Rose died July 22, 2004 in Sioux City. 
Preceded in death by his parents; his life long companion and best 
friend, Rose; two sisters, Ruth Ryan and Mildred Lynch; a niece, Kerry 
Frink; and a nephew, Steven Frink.
 
Fae Katherine Philpott HIRSCH, 94, of Sioux City died May 11, 2008.
Services at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. 
Born Mar 6, 1914, on a farm between Laurel and Belden, Neb., to Wren 
and Maude (Craig) Philpott. She and Harold Hirsch married on Sept. 28, 1934. 
The couple moved to Emerson, Neb. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold; 
her son, Gerald; her sister, Vera; two brothers, who died in infancy; a foster
brother, Ernie Keltner; and her parents.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Mary Lou ROOST, 73, died May 10, 2008.
Services at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial in Memorial 
Park Cemetery. Born Dec. 25, 1934, in Oakland, Neb., to Wallace C. 
and Ruth E. (Frost) Broom. Married Charles D. Roost on Jan. 19, 1962
in South Sioux City. She taught country school in South Sioux City 
and retired after 32 years teaching at Riverside School in Sioux City.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Mary J. McAFEE, 72, of South Sioux City, formerly 
of Bloomfield, Neb., passed away May 12, 2008. Graveside services 
May 15, 2008 in Ponca City Cemetery, Ponca, NE. Mary was born 
April 2, 1936, in Wakefield, NE, to Edwin T. and Bernice "Peggy" 
(McFadden) Jordan. Married Merle McAfee on Mar 16, 1953, in 
Ponca, Neb. He died Dec. 18, 1994 in South Sioux City. 
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Kenneth 
McAfee; a grandson, Lance Hitchcock; and her significant 
other, Bill Miller.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Harold M. BRYNGELSON, 96, formerly of 
South Sioux City, died April 10, 2008. Memorial services May 25, 2008 
at St. Paul United Methodist Church, South Sioux City. Arrangements 
are under the direction of The Arbor Society in Omaha. Born July 31, 1911. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleola.

TEKAMAH, Neb. -- Ward B. Odell, 81, of Tekamah died May 14, 2008.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Tekamah. 
Burial will be in Tekamah Cemetery. 

WAYNE, Neb. -- Monte SUTAK, 57, of Wayne, died May 13, 2008.
Services will be held in Lafayette, Colo. There was a visitation and 
prayer service held May 15 at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral 
Home in Wayne. 

MOVILLE, Iowa -- Ann HOBBS-RODGERS, 77, of Plainview, Neb., formerly 
of Moville, died May 14, 2008. Services Monday at Christy-Smith McCulloch 
Chapel in Moville. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. 

PONCA, Neb. -- Pamela Jean (Bengtson) COWEN, 62, formerly of Ponca 
died Nov. 10, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nev. Graveside services in Ponca City 
Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca. 

ROSALIE, Neb. -- Archie G. KULLBOM, 97, of Rosalie died May 15, 2008 in Pender, Neb.
Graveside services May 24, in Evergreen Cemetery at Walthill, Neb. Arrangements 
are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. 

MACY, Neb. -- Louis LaFLESCHE Sr., 75, of Macy died May 19, 2008.

MASKELL, Neb. -- LoVena E.K. BOBENMOYER, 98, of South Sioux City, formerly 
of Maskell, died Monday, May 19, 2008. Services Friday at Faith Lutheran 
Church in Maskell. Burial in Maskell Cemetery. Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, Neb. 

LYONS, Neb. -- Melvin Delbert CRISS, 74, of Lyons died suddenly May 18, 2008.
Graveside services in Evergreen Cemetery, Walthill, Neb., with military rites 
conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Robert Klase Post 7998 and American 
Legion Harvey Lenig Post 83. Arr. are under the direction of Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons. 

LYONS, Neb. -- Margaret A. HALE, 100, of Lyons died Dec. 23, 2007.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. May 24, 2008 at Memorial United

OAKLAND, Neb. -- Layne C. BAKER, 54, of Oakland died May 19, 2008
in Lincoln, Neb. Services at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland.

MASKELL, Neb. -- Richard DARRELL Jr., 19, of Maskell died May 18, 2008
near Vermillion, S.D. Services at Boys Town Dowd Chapel in Omaha.

ST. HELENA, Neb. -- Cresentia T. ZIMMERMANN, 99, of St. Helena died May 21, 2008
