Wauneta Breeze May 2008 Virgil B. EGLE, of North Platte, NE, for 45 years, died April 23, 2008, at the age of 88. Born on Sept. 10, 1919, on the family homestead in Hitchcock Co, NE. He and Grace Mae Rasmussen married on June 23, 1940. Preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mae; his parents; and his brothers, Robert and Ralph. memorial service was held May 16, 2008 at the First Christian Church. A private family inurnment at North Platte Cemetery. Delburn 'Del' C. WILLSEY, age 88, died April 8, 2008. He was born on Jan. 8, 1920, in Huntley, Neb., to Delburn F. and Irene Ana Ball Willsey. They both preceded him in death. Served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as a Link trainer instructor for pilots, primarily stationed in Arizona. He met his wife, Betty, while stationed in Wickenburg, Ariz.They were married on Dec. 9, 1944, in Collinsville, Ill. They had been married for 63 years. Funeral services were held April 15, 2008, in the chapel of Hatfield Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Erma Margaret WALLACE was born on Feb. 9, 1913, in Chase Co, NE, to Charles E. and Ruby (McGrath) Smith. Married Kenneth D. Wallace in 1932. Erma died May 18, 2008, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was 95 years of age. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth and sisters, Wilma Walker and Shirley Petsch. Graveside services were held May 21, 2008, at the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta. Memorial services for William Dale 'Bill' NEVERVE, 77, Gladstone, Mo., were at White Chapel in Gladstone. A celebration of life followed at the Elks Lodge in Gladstone. He died May 17, 2008, of complications from open heart surgery. He was born Mar 7, 1931, in Wauneta, Neb., to Charles and Ethel (Swanson) Neverve. Married Irma Jean Sandman on Sept. 9, 1951. She died in Oct 1992. He served in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack, and three sisters: Charline, Arlene and Glenda. Harley E. WARD, age 81, died May 12, 2008 in Wauneta. He was born May 9, 1927, to William W. and Clara (Geihsler) Ward in McCook, NE. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Married JoAnn Sailors in Palisade on July 8, 1950. To this union six children were born. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara; and daughter, Glenda. Funeral services were held May 16, 2008, at the Palisade United Methodist Church.
