She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Helen Tejral, Julia Kliment and Marie Skokan; brothers, Adolph, Anton and Ted Komenda. MEAD - Dorlin G. Drieling, 73, of Mead, died Nov. 1, 2009 at his home. He was born April 10, 1936, to George and Eileen (VonSeggern) Drieling on a farm near Uehling. He farmed with his father for several years. On Jan. 20, 1957, he married Helen Swanson at First Lutheran Church in Oakland. They farmed near Pender for a few years. MUSCATINE, Iowa - Richard Dale Hugill, 91, of Muscatine, Iowa, died Nov. 3, 2009. He was born on Oct. 19, 1918, to William E. and Anna M. (Keller) Hugill in Wahoo. He served in the U S Army from 1942 to 1945, attaining the rank of Captain in the Field Artillery. He married Barbara Burnett in Ames, Iowa on May 8, 1942. She died on Nov. 9, 1957. He married Betty Ruth Kiser on Nov. 11, 1960, in Muscatine. His parents, his wives, and his daughter, Diane, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Nov. 7 at the Faith United Church of Christ. Burial was in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites by the combined units of the V.F. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Agnes Proskovec and Martha Mares; and three brothers, Rudy, Leonard and Vince Kozisek. She was an x-ray technician/licensed radiologist and retired from Veterinary Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she was the electron microscope technician. Interment was at Wyuka Cemetery. MEDUNA, Stanley F. NORTH PLATTE - Stanley Frank Meduna, 78, of North Platte, died Nov. 12, 2009. He was born Mar 7, 1931 to Frank and Stella (Sabathka) Meduna in Weston. He married Beverly Wonka on April 12, 1950 in Weston. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Leonard Meduna and sister, Loretta Reitmajer. Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 16 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in North Platte. He married Faith Dech on Oct. 17, 1943 at the home of her parents. He was preceded in death by his three sons, Alan, Kenneth and Steven Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son, John Maly Jr.; brother and wife, Anton and Helen Mach; and brothers-in-law, William Wirka, George, Fred, Daniel and Adrain Maly, Don Mass and Frank Bordovsky. He farmed in Valparaiso and worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road for 32 years. He was a WWII Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 371. He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Wilma Vanek. He is survived by nieces and nephews; and good friends, Randy and Doreen Blazek, Valparaiso.
