WINNEBAGO, Neb. -- Betty Ann Logan EARTH, Wo-xe de win-ga (She Who Was Loved By All), 62, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 18, 2009, in Winnebago, Neb. at the Indian Health Service Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1947, in Winnebago, and was a lifelong resident. Betty was a member of the Thunder Clan, and was a spiritual leader and mentor in her community. Milo Dean Patefield was born May 23, 1930, on the home farm northeast of Laurel to Felix and Nina Rose (Weston) Patefield. Milo married Arlene Ruth Hansen June 4, 1950, at Martinsburg, Neb. Milo was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Florence Jewel and Vera Smith; brothers, Warren and Oscar Patefield. PONCA, Neb. -- Eric B. WIEBE, 49, of Ponca passed away at his residence surrounded by his family, on Nov. 19, 2009. At Eric's request, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of Eric's life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca. Eric was born Mar 15, 1960, in Hastings, Neb., to Bruce and Deanne (Gerberding) Wiebe. He was a police officer for the Beatrice Police Department for six years. He moved to Ponca in 1990, where he served as a conservation officer until his death. He was also a firearms instructor for the Game Commission. He married Judy (Wenke) Frisch on Oct. 7, 1994, at the Ponca State Park. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laura and Earl Wiebe and Herman and Maria Gerberding; stepgrandfather, Gus Wiebe; uncles, Loyal Gerber and Jesse DeRiese. BOW VALLEY, Neb. -- Rose T.
